This is a pill popping generation however our bodies build a resistance to drugs once we’ve taken them for a period of time. Doors then open to holistic and alternative medicine. Some methods you’ll recognize as ancient methods of cures. Other methods are the marvels of living in the 21st century.

Mental illness is simply defined as “various disorders in which a person’s thoughts, emotions, or behaviors that are so abnormal as to cause suffering to himself, herself, or other people.” Drugs usually mute the abnormal signals from the brain to the body with those suffering with mental illnesses, however when anxieties or depression overwhelms then off to the un-doctors they go.

  • Great list! I thought I would find lobotomy on the list though. The idea of drilling into somebody’s brain through the eye is disturbing. It’s even more disturbing that at a fairly recent point in time, this was accepted by the general public!

    On another note, this is actually my first time to visit the site and have found it just as interesting as some other site I frequently visit but will not mention. I’ll keep you guys bookmarked.
